What time is it? Watches and horology

I’ve seen it reported that it caused an increase in demand for new Moonwatches, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s had an effect on vintage prices.

But yeah, also inflation / reduction in purchasing power etc.

Also, increase of Omegas new watch prices.

Also rumours of Rolex type shinanigans with restricting flow.... (heresay)

Found this in stock at my new shop. Thought all of these had been sold.
Really lovely , Longines have been killing it for a couple of years now I think.

I often regret not going for the Fab Suisse for a similar price, but the 30m water resistance took the shine off a "Marine Nationale" heritage model.

I really liked the look of a lot of the recent heritage Longines stuff but when you looked closer something was always a bit off and just felt a little half baked.

Love the arabic numeral/subdial one.
like the slim bezel gold too but the 50's numeral that cut into 6 reminds me of my Omega that got stolen and not replaced, typeface/date window fetishists probably get triggered but i like it.

My IWC cuts the corner off the 11 and 10 but i just don't care.

Glad you like them. I’m not bothered by the 6 either. Interestingly, my Smiths A404 has no 6. Does look neater…

Not me, usually I'm fine with cutting off numerals because the alternatives are generally worse. That F.P. Journe where the numerals get bigger and smaller to avoid the various dials/indicators is awful atmo.

Like that a lot.
