I'd be excited to see a film crew where I live, but it'll inevitably either be for Countryfile or a police procedural drama.

My local unreconstructed greasy spoon is closed for filming about once a month. Which invariably coincides with the exact day I need a walk and a sturdy breakfast.

What's going on? Noticed it was closed last night...

Don't know. Drove up to the frozen north last night. Sat in traffic for an hour near the Meantime brewery, then turned around and went for the Rotherhithe tunnel (which I really should have done in the first place).

Turns out it flooded in the rain

Few years back I found myself in the Rotherhithe tunnel on my bike. No turning back had to pedal through full pelt heavy breathing filling my lungs with exhaust fumes. Very unpleasant memory

I had an air BnB just the other side of that tunnel for a London Open, rode through it pissed every night and hungover every morning for four or five days, the lungs full of exhaust were not good for either direction.

Received a £100 fine for parking in a carpark where I had written permission from the landowner to do so. Appealed the decision providing a copy of the written permission. Appeal rejected "but we'll accept £20 if you pay now".

Fuck those guys. If you are so certain I was parked illegally, why are they happy to reduce the fine from £100 to £20 just because I appealed it? Off to the ombudsman we go.
