Of course I just got a cut that wouldn't seal fully on the road (seemed too small to plug) and needed a lot of sealant once home to properly seal. Sods law. Still got the ride in I suppose.

I’ve just fitted a pair of 35s. Quite tough to get on the rim compared to the Gravelkings, but seated easily first time with soapy water and an Airshot. I am going to leave them sitting overnight at max pressure (72psi in this case) and all being well bung the sealant in tomorrow.
Surprisingly they appear to be just as wide as the 38 mm GKs they have replaced. That suits me fine and also means I won’t need to adjust my mudguards.
Anyone else using 35mm in the Cinturato Velo? What pressures are you using?

I ask because the tyre pressure calculators would have me at 60-63psi using the stated 35mm width, but in fact they are the same width as tyres that I ran at 40psi (the GKs).

Are you racing on 35mm tyres? Probably not
No need for pressure calculator, put in as much/little air as you require.
But 40 sounds bout right. -

I always pumped my 35s to the moon but I had my fat arse and touring gear on top.

Actually I am wrong with that 60-63psi, no idea how I got that. 48 or 50 psi is what the Silca one recommends.
Added sealant this morning and went for a short settling in ride. I can’t quite believe it myself, but I think I got a puncture on this, the very first ride. Rode for a few km, stopped briefly, noticed a drip of gloopy sealant hanging from a spoke, turned the wheel a bit and there was a small sealant patch on the tyre but no bubbling or sign of anything. Unless it was a drip of sealant that had been clinging on to a spoke for 4 km - unlikely.

The key is to ignore it.

A while back I changed my Surly Trucker fork from QR to TA. Axle to crown race height and rake were the same. Built up the bike as planned, and all good. However, post build, there was a mild but noticeable wheel flop. Tyre size changed from 35 (Marathon Supremes) to 38 (GK slick). However, I assumed this was due to some difference between the two forks and didn’t think the tyre size change was significant.
Not so. Flop gone after changing back to the 35s.

Which 32mm tyre predominately for road use but won't fall apart on byways and bridleways?

Anyone done Tro Bro Leon in the wet and have tyre thoughts?

Any suggestions for a 650b 40-48mm puncture resistant tyre for road and bridleways? I've been using WTB Byway 47mm's for the last 10 months or so, they roll well but have had more punctures than used to get on my old bike with with GP4000's.
Would like tanwalls and was considering GK semi slick+ tyres but have read a lot of comments to say they puncture often.

Mine punctured when I pushed the bike from the house to the shed....
How about a Specialized Pathfinder? I think they come in 650 and are excellent tyres for that use case.

Vittoria Terreno Zero or Dry?

I have gk ss, normal on the front and a plus version on the back. No punctures so far but I have found they can be a bit squirrely, maybe sensitive to pressure

As a Terreno lover I've always dreamt of trying their 650b large volume versions

Thank. I like the look of the Zero's. There isn't a tanwall version of the 650b, still tempting though...
Much appreciated!
