• Hi,

I'm looking for an Audax or touring bike for some touring, I'd like clearance for 32mm at least.

I'm 192 so ideally 58 (maybe 60) would be good, components aren't very important as long as the frame is in decent condition and have rack mounts. London based but would be willing to travel/pay for courier.

Budget is about £450 but fairly flexible.

I've been looking at Spa Cycles Audax frame, which is currently £270, it's tempting but would prefer to give a new lease of life to something old and unwanted.

    Thanks

  • What’s your budget?

  • Genesis equilibrium disk of any interest? Size M (not sure what that equates to exactly but can measure up tomorrow), and would be full bike ideally.

105 11s, sks guards, son Dynamo wheels,B&M iq xs lights.

Nice as it, being realistic it’s not the bike for the type of riding I now enjoy, so it’s been sitting in a garage since the summer.

  • Sorry, just added that.

  • Thanks a lot but working off Genesis' size chart, M would be too small.

  • Yes probably at 192, just seen your edit! That was set up for someone 175 so likely too small.

  • £600 too rich for you? I've got a 60cm 853 Dawes Galaxy in near mint condition. Fantastic audax or fast tourer. Will fit 32 maybe 35 tyres with guards. Currently running 37mm Schwalbe G-One. I'm exactly the same height as you and it fits me perfectly. Sorry for the poor quality pic.

  • https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/404095540719? this mercian frameset seems in good nick and fits the fill size-wise.

  • Thanks @Tonts and @Meds for your messages.

Meds, I saw that Dawes when looking on ebay, looks great but a little more than I'd care to spend, but thanks. Good luck with the sale.

Tonts, the frame looks good, thanks!

  • I've got a 531 (possibly 531c need to check) Lee Cooper audax frame I'd like to sell on. 135mm rear spacing, so had it built up with XT rear hub, son front dynamo. Rear and front rack and mudguard mounts. Did Paris Brest on it years ago. Not modern (quill stem and quick release) but it's great.

  • Hi There,

Im going to be selling my 58cm Singular Osprey frameset with Nitto bar, stems and seatpost, along with custom guards. Its super smooth ride but I'm just not quite big enough and a 56cm frame is my size.

  • Maybe moving my 60cm Surly Pacer if you are interested?

  • Hi. I've got a 58 cm Reynolds 725 Woodrup fast Audax/Tourer.

Full Campagnolo 9 speed triple groupset. Mavic MA40's in excellent condition with Campagnolo hubs. Rear rack but no fitment on the forks for a front one. Fitted with long mudguards. Currently has 700 x 28c tyres and the max would be 32c.

    Campagnolo headset and BB.

    Lightweight and fast.

    I'm in Gloucestershire.

    Looking for £395 for it.

    Any good for you ?

  • Thanks to all for your responses, will DM.
