It was undoubtedly a dumb thing to do but the implied suggestion that he was being threatening with the knife seems pretty far from the reality.
As said, it looks like a multitool or something with a pretty small blade. Probably not the wisest thing to take to the football (although it was a night game from what I remember so maybe coming from work) but perfectly legal.

Not sure about this 'he was just being a helpful citizen' narrative. If you're being a solid citizen, how about you don't bring a knife to the football, you don't get the blade out, you don't ignore the security and you don't storm onto the pitch into what is already a pretty incendiary situation holding a blade in front of you?

Still no chaloba in the starting 11. FFS. Not that it matters City gonna steam Roll chelsea tonight.

Surprised by tonight. The injures not great. But much more impressed by chelsea today more fight and effort in the performance. Abamuyang can just fuck off . Pointless him being on the pitch.
Lewis hall, chukwuemeka and Zakaria all looked good. -

Some beautiful tributes:
Sampdoria wrote on Friday in an emotional article: “You gave us so
much, we gave you so much: yes, it was love, reciprocal, infinite. A
love that will not die today with you. We will continue to love and
adore you because – as you well know – you are better than Pelé. And
because, despite everything, our beautiful season is destined to never
end.”They added: “We will remember you as a boy and a relentless
centre-forward, because heroes are all young and beautiful and you,
since that summer of 1984, have been our hero. Strong and beautiful,
with that 9 printed on the back and the Italian flag sewn on the
heart.”(Stolen from the Guardian, but what a lovely sentiment!)

Any locking knife above 2" (citation needed) carried in public needs a reason that a court will believe. You can't just say "in case".

RIP Vialli. Always had a smile. Like a man who realised, for all his talents, it didn't make sense to be so revered/paid for just kicking a bag of wind around.

Was a real sickener. Looked in a lot of pain. Shame the DCL goal was offside. best thing we did all game.

I think it's any locking knife regardless of size and/or a blade over 3", neither of which appear to apply to that one.
I'll repeat, it was a dumb thing to do but suggestions that he was threatening the guy or that he was the one who should be in jail just don't match up to the video.

What's the view on McNeil this season, he doesn't seem too popular from what I've seen

General view is that he’s terrible. However I’m 99% sure the same people also thought Iwobi was terrible and he’s turned into one of our best players. Ultimately it’s unfair to judge any player currently playing for Everton, such is the general feeling of crisis and seeming lack of decent coaching or a game plan.

Obviously a fired up situation but the person isn't asked for the knife and offers it up already opened whilst walking pretty briskly towards the protestor after being told not to enter the field by a steward and then has to be pushed back. That's the bit that worries me.
