Yeah that’s nuts, I found a pic of the first time I (half) stripped Spencer and he was 7 months old. I think the more you do it, the stronger it grows back - he goes full Teen-Wolf if I don’t keep on top of it.
Edit: in case anyone is wondering WTF we’re talking about, it’s literally pulling their entire second coat out. Youtube link

Yeah, don't want to clip him.
It's mad though, he is 18m old now and we saw a 6m old BT in the park recently, way hairier than ours.
Every dog is different though, not complaining.
