Receipt proves ownership. Insurance claims depend on the insurance company as to whether it's equivalent or new for old.
If it's a rare watch you describe it in the insurance clearly for year/model/customisation so you can be sure you are adequately insured.

Think I may get some more of these Two Stitch straps, I've been impressed for the money. On a related note, where's good to buy buckles from?

I have just seen this on the railway sidings at my house… think it’s worth jumping the 8ft fence to see if there is treasure inside?
(It a Rolex box, hard to see in the photo)

Noob question. Do you get to choose where the holes go on the strap?

You can request it but I didn't bother. I just put the Tudor clasp on with the holes on the strap as it came. Guess it would look neater, maybe I'll do that next time.

Cheers. I think the National 15's and 17's are quiet little bangers as 'dressier' options.

Are you sure that's a Rolex box? I can't remember seeing one with writing on it like that, even if it's an outer cardboard shell.

I only asked because I always seem to find that I'm half way between holes whenever I buy a strap -
• #69048
I'm fairly sure someone on here did get a custom one. Can't remember who though.

I've just ordered my second strap from them one of their new premium full stitch straps in Cognac shell cordovan for my BB 58. I think they're great straps for the money. Watch obsession have a decent selection of buckles.
For those of you with watches you've bought second hand. How does that work on travel insurance? Firstly, how do you prove you own it? Secondly, is it likely that you can claim for price of new watch if you get mugged?
EDIT: Seller tells me he will send the 'signed warranty card with serial number', would that help in an insurance case?
