a different class indeed. Most London born Italians I grew up with were Chelsea fans through and through.. and i suspect that players like Gianluca and Gianfranco felt the love, not just from the Bridge or indeed other London clubs but from the city that was home for them at the time of their playing careers.

I'd say a lot of the late-90s Chelsea players fall into that bracket IMO. Granted I started following football in the mid-late 90s and supported Chelsea so am heavily biased.
Will always remember when West Ham fired Zola and the reporters were gathered outside his house. So he came out and served them coffee. A class act for sure.
