Hits close to home. I've had to do weird kernel workarounds for the last 6 months to get working sound on a Dell XPS.

Do you have a weird set up? I have an XPS 9560, and it's always just worked with Ubuntu.

I had some issues getting some Bluetooth headphones working a while ago, but eventually a new Ubuntu release came out, and it was back to working out-of-the-box.

We used to have my laptop connected to the TV and I remember jumping through all sorts of hoops to set up a portable speaker to get the sound to work.

If it is on expenses then surely the client is paying so has no impact on P&L unless they are billing the client for his dinner but he is eating kettle chicken
