Either your autocorrect is a committed Tory or you have a disturbing obsession.

well done for braving it this morning. i think i'm done with cycle commuting for 2022.
i dragged myself out for a ride yesterday in horrible conditions but just couldn't face the commute when i saw the forecast for today. -

Back on the saddle after not cycling for 2 weeks due to frost and holidays. Tonights cycle up will be ... Fun.

Hooded crow, no less?

Well spotted.
She's probably the daughter of a Carrion Crow and his hooded missus, her partner is a hooded crow.
The parents are a bit further down and also happily take nuts, apple cores etc.

WARM. Tee shirt morning commute in January. Worrying.
-
• #30645
Unexpectedly warm but windy ride in today. My bike also sounds awful so time to finally get round to cleaning/sorting new parts out.
-
• #30646
I was uncomfortably warm on my ride to/from work yesterday - had to take my gloves off as my hands were so hot.
much more pleasant in shorts this morning rather than the usual winter gear.
it did feel wrong pulling shorts on in january though. -

Commuted across S London today for the first time since the freezing period last month... the road surfaces are faaarked.
So many burst pipes too. Really contributes to 'everything's falling apart' vibes of the country at the moment.

The Crow Dad followed me today after he spotted me cycling down the road.
Gray weather here and 8 degrees, have to clean my derailleur as the cold weather and damp mean it's not moving very smoothly.

Another cyclist coming towards me on the tow path last night with full beam head torch set to seizure-inducing flashy flashy mode. Shouted 'are you trying to give me a seizure?' at them and immediately felt like an arsehole, they were just trying to be safe I guess and probs oblivious to how it affects people cycling in the opposite direction... oh well, maybe they got the message?
-
• #30650
Don't worry, they were indeed the oblivious arsehole. "I'm alright Jack and I can't be bothered to engage my brain to consider how anybody else might be affected by my insane lighting option".
Also surely riding with constant strobe lighting everywhere (especially on a tow path or similar) must be an unpleasant headfuck for the owner of the strobe?!
Bad luck! At least you can spend Christmas sat on the sofa drinking beer.
