Viv Anderson and Les Ferdinand’s love child. It would make one hell of a player.

Ukraine does indeed have a far-right element to its politics (in common with every other country), with a vote share percentage in the very low single-digit range (significantly lower than most other European countries). Now let’s talk about far-right politics in Russia.

The comment from sol Campbell was in 2012, when the country was under a different leader, who now lives in Moscow and would be back in power if Putin's little 3 day jaunt had worked to plan. Not sure what you point is?

Ah, a man of sport, maybe this will help you answer the question.

Does your script have anything about biolabs?

I preferred your earlier films @LesAnderson, though any appearance of Bill Murray gets a thumbs up from me.

It's a shame people no longer trust the mainstream media and, while searching for truth, get hooked on fake news following Russian narrative.
There are nazis everywhere, by the way. Just like there are criminals everywhere. Is that a reason to invade a country?

I've worked in sport.
One of the few times I'm inclined to agree sport and politics should not be connected.

Everything is politic, it’s literally a fundamental parts of our lives.

Agreed, I just meant in terms of the sports worker offering his opinion on Nazis in UKR.

“It's a shame people no longer trust the mainstream media and, while searching for truth, get hooked on fake news following Russian narrative.”
I have a ‘mate’ who is exactly like this. His current news feed is RT News and no arguing with him will change his mind. I have tried to point out there must be truth somewhere in the middle ground. It hurts my head trying to change his mind.
When RT News was taken off UK TV, he responded with ‘that’s because they tell the truth and the UK government don’t want anyone hearing the truth’.
My head still hurts. -

People like that want to believe that stuff because it reaffirms something they're already thinking.

You can empathise thought, like the mainstream media (says BBC) barely talk about Brexit because of either having people in pocket or simply will not get interviews with government official.
So I can see why people think like that.
-
• #3668
I cannot empathise with him. He refuses to take any other opinion into consideration. I have numerous texts from him regarding the invasion of Ukraine - which, according to him, wasn’t going to happen. When it did - it wasn’t an invasion. When people were being killed - that’s fake news! I now try to avoid any conversation about it as it annoys me too much.

Anti-vaxxer, per chance?
-
• #3670
That’s a very good guess! He is - again another source of annoyance to me as he is and has been super careful to avoid contact with people for something which, according to him, is a myth.
My head still hurts. -

Banned the troll account.

Brexshit was done, damage is plain to see to all, but this kind of 'whataboutism' is exactly why some people are getting dragged in to the dark side. We could throw in anything that annoy us or is not present on a mainstream media, but that would and should not be an excuse for turning a blind eye to, in this instance, the Russian invasion...

Yes, it's a common trait. I think once they go down the road of not believing any 'MSM' (hate that phrase), they just cherry-pick what they want to believe. I've had two friends of 30+ years block me digitally and irl for taking them to task on what they believe to be 'real'. Could ruminate for a long time on how we got to this stage, but that's for another thread. My sympathies to you anyway.

Thanks for your sympathy, I appreciate that. I have considered blocking ‘my mate’ but I need his help on occasion. The only point I have noticed recently is his views are becoming more right wing which I find odd. I mentioned to my wife that if we were in the USA I could see him as an isolationist living in the woods with camo gear on. He is currently stocking up on supplies for the blackouts!
