Fair enough!

It does, but would look a lot better with a Lauf fork.

All good points…not the specific colour I was looking at if that’s any defence, but think I will avoid this bike now, not wanting to be pelted with rotten fruit as I ride due to the offence it might cause

no probs

would look a lot worse with a Lauf fork.

Put much bigger, black tyres on it and that would solve a lot of the problem.
Then rattle can it so it didn't look like it was baby-shit brown and you've dealt with the other half.
-
• #26413
What about the third half which is that drop stays always have, and always will, look shit.
-
• #26414
I don't mind that aspect. Not a fan of anemic stays in general though.

I don't know why I'm commenting on bike looks. All mine are way-too-practical fuggers.

I have a Stayer OG+ bloody love it, great people to deal with and the bike climbs well too. A little heavy but with full carbon fork and wheelset it doesn't seem noticeable.
But then I can't remember the last time I rode a Alloy or Carbon bike!

Always good with other’s opinions. I’ve tried a few different setups on the CFR696, and while most of them works fine, the bike have never felt too playful. Comparing the geo, I think the shorter wheelbase of SC might be the key.
@GoatandTricycle Beautiful Standert you have. Love their finishes, looks premium, like a bike equivalent to [your favorite German premium car producer].
@bur70n_ Nice, good to hear. I’ve the impression that they’re a cool brand. Their Groadinger UG seems to be spot on for my needs.

Dolan GXA. Decent spec can be had for ~£2k.
I bought one on C2W, last year, and honestly it’s brilliant fun and very capable (can take a huge tyre - currently have a 43mm in there).
Fantastic frames, Dolans: I have a Preffisio from 2011 which is still going very strong.
