Just got the upgraded 2spd Brompton back, so have some parts for sale (no photos as yet) items are: stock front wheel - plenty of life left in the rim; x2 marathon tyres; naked rear triangle inc. frame pump; original Brompton crank and chain ring; pedals inc folding left one; one piece bell and shifter (two speed); firm suspension block, Brompton replacement bb; reflectors (front and rear).
If anyone is interested before I do a proper sales thread with photos, or get them up on eBay, pm me, will be priced decently..
Thanks

I know, the worst thing for me is you have to fit the wheel back first and then pump the tyres.
The jocket wheels and derailleur is a joke tbh. Literally either have some spare to replace when they're broken or worn out than replace the parts.
Maybe get some slim or sealant inside the inner tube.

Mine also is carbon (from ebay) for 6 years now, got them due to the fact I wanted wider.
These days carbon from ebay is pretty decent - really depends on what you want (ie looks and feel).

Hi all,
After a cheap Brompton if anyone knows of one. I'm Midlands based as well. It's to take out when I am out riding with my boy.
Could do a deal on something with one of my bikes such as my Marin?
Cheers for any help.

Is the front wheel black or silver?

• #12712
Silver I think will double check

Just discounted a load of stuff; https://www.thebromptonman.com/shop.html
Shout if you want anything and I can make a deal, I need to raise funds for the van heading to the garage...

It's silver and yes, I did degrease the cranks which were replaced. ;)

Anyone up for a set of wheels? Silver, lots of life left, single or double speed rear.
Sold as a set, no splitting.

The horror...
Although I think a folder with a Nexus 7 and a chain tensioner is probably even worse in that situation.

Does anyone know if BROMPTON are part of the Cycle Solutions CTW scheme?
Cheers!

Has anyone ever actually punctured the front???
-
• #12719
Probably, haha!
I guess the only good thing about puncturing on a folder is that you can fold it and hop on a bus.
Still love my Brompton, though. It was a total game changer for me.

Don't rear tyres wear faster on any bike?
Ergo, more likely to get a puncture on the rear! -

Rear tyre wear - Sheldon always knows - https://www.sheldonbrown.com/tire-rotation.html

I certainly skid the rear wheel much more than the front

Anyone know if the S and H stems are still different lengths? 2023 Pline. or can i now simply switch out between flat and risers?
Cheers
-
• #12724
Definitely different lenght as P and H are polar opposites, can't give you the measurements though.

Thanks Cov.
No worries- they're not for sale anyway, just sharing my experience.
