  • It was an armoured zip-tie (a pair of these if I remember correctly) that needed bolt croppers to remove (or something more than just a knife).

    WhyTF is someone taking a knife like that to a football game?

  • I'm assuming the guy in the stand didn't know it was an armoured zip tie. It's pretty clear from the way he happily handed it over to the steward what the intention was.

    It didn't look like a particularly big knife. I've gone to countless matches with a Swiss army knife on my keyring and not thought anything of it
