  • Also with the AT95E there's a few 3rd party options that get good reviews.

Probs amp and speakers first if you're not already in the land of diminishing returns. There's definitely some decent second hand bargains out there.

Also one thing you might consider to upgrade your 1300 is wiring some some interconnectors in as pretty much all of the ones that came hard wired in are garbage.

  • interconnectors

The phono cable or something else? Any suggestions on what i should be looking for? I've found a few lengthy videos on youtube for servicing the 1300 so will check out them out thanks.

  • Yeah the phono cables and the ground wire. Doesn't need to be anything too fancy, it's worth noting that Project do an already prepared kit for like £40 and it looks smart, otherwise something with oxygen free copper and gold connectors will be a step up, you might need to buy the ground cable separate, it's not really that important to get a good quality one.

A bit of deoxit and some contact lubricant will do you well.

If you need a syringe for the bearing and live in Walthamstow give me a nudge I've got some spare.

If the platter is low you might need to do something with the suspension, but when I looked into this there was a lot of chat along the lines of "spares not available" and you can make the grommet from an inner tube. I needed a deep socket for the suspension adjustment if you don't already have one.
