Yes he did well in Sweden (although I have a vague memory that there was some dodgy finances going on there that ended up with the owner jailed or something) but given the money that Brighton have been spending in the past few years then anything other than their highest league finish would have been a bit of a failure, it's not like they are a club with a history of success. (And agreed about Ashworth's influence.)
Agree though that it's better seeing someone with a bit of development being given the opportunity.

I always found the hype about Potter a bit strange. He'd done OK at Brighton but nothing great.
