Well done all participants and finishers, much admiration for getting out there

Still 1.3km short after this morning’s jaunt for various errands. I may take a spin out this evening to watch fireworks, after the rain stops.

1,3km should be doable haha 👍

Pretty much this. I've spent the last few days just looking at the rain out the window with little enthusiasm. Managed to get one 50km ride in lol.
Next year....

Nice one - I was glad to be done yesterday as today is even windier and wetter...

Another year, another Festive 500 ticked off.
Managed 500km outdoors and 100km indoors (my indoor stuff had been an insurance policy in case family plans and the like stopped play).
Nerdy spreadsheet helped (as usual), but got mega lucky with weather, wind and friends’ schedules.

Thanks! Years of London riding is good preparation :) The good thing about Jakarta is that the driving is pretty chilled compared to other similar cities I've lived in and visited. There is still tons of traffic and some craziness, but the lack of aggression makes it better

Finally managed to complete one this year. Helped significantly by not having to be in work this year, whilst still having to be at work. Only 80km indoors which I'm happy about, today's final 30k ride in Devon was like a treat- and saw the most cyclists I've ever seen here in a ride!
Literal rivers running down the roads. -

Nice one, great spreadsheet too - interesting ideas for data for inclusion next time, mine was laid out a bit differently 😁

Another miserable wet and windy ride and I have just about managed it.

Thanks for pointing that out @Mukashi , it is indeed Japan @kjlem .
The photos are from a couple of rides close to Yokohama (where I’m based) and a couple of rides out in Chiba (the prefecture over the bay from Tokyo).
Got out for a New Year’s Day 100km today to stretch the legs and get the year off to a good start.
More views of Mount Fuji, lots of traditions and food with the in-laws (osechiryouri (boxes of New Year’s food) and fugu (puffer fish) sashimi & hot pot), and a stop at Dark Arts Coffee for a brew and vegan hot dog (they have a store here that was on the route).
Not sure if on topic - apologies if not!

Made a little Jonathan O Keefe Strava Heatmap of the F500 routes I did, would be interesting to see others' too if people can, see what areas people covered!

New chain fitted and done.
Such mild temperatures made this year enjoyable.
Well done to everyone else, great stories and pictures on the last few pages.
