I feel your pain on the tubeless tyres. Just won an extended fight to get mine hold air, also involving new tape, new gloop, new valves, lots of cleaning.
And I've put one of them on the wrong way round. :(
Wrong way round? There was a story going round a few years ago that manufacturers only added direction arrows to stop people calling them up to ask which way round they go. Unless there’s clearly a directional tread pattern it won’t make a difference.
That was a specific conti if I remember correctly, probably gp4000, off road stuff the direction can matter more, plus it's impossible to ride with both wheels going in opposite directions.
Mountain bike tyres, so direction does make a difference. Probably end up with slightly higher drag and lower braking. But no way on earth I'm changing it now. It'll do for winter :)
