    Can anyone point me in the direction of a decent guide for dismantling and cleaning a Dyson V6? The battery in mine now lasts about 30 seconds so want to see if cleaning it makes any difference.

    I found the aftermarket battery I bought better than the original in our V6. IME Dysons need to be cleaned properly to work properly. The red plastic guard/filter bit is a cunt to get off and on to clean out the cyclone mouldings.

    Yeah. Filter needs doing every three / four weeks. Periodically blast the whole thing out with compressed air every year or so.

    Cheers. I got the one that @Acliff linked to and it works fine (although I suspect it's claim of triple the capacity is somewhat exaggerated).

    Followed a few YouTube videos on cleaning it (although one was terrible), there was a lot of brick dust in there!

    Now works fine again
