So I thought I’d go on a non-work trip for a few days that would mean I could have a decent look around, leaving my suitcase in the hotel.

Makes sense. It's somewhere I've always really wanted to go. I can imagine it's frustrating having works trips to nice places you can't see.

First world problems, but yes- go somewhere amazing and see the airport, the inside of a taxi, a couple of meeting rooms and then the airport hotel and home again.
