I’m sitting on a BA flight to Istanbul, we’re an hour late at the moment because they had to change a front tyre- got down to the wear indicator (!) so they couldn’t take off until it was replaced.

Stop whingeing and spare a thought for the poor bugger who has to jack it up onto axle stands.

Seems odd. You'd have thought the wear indicator could be designed so a tyre can be changed during routine maintenance rather than having to do it immediately and delay a flight.

Hah, I’ve been twice before - once in (I think) 2015 and once earlier this year.

Both times I’ve ended up with a flight home around 7pm on a Saturday, so have had just enough time to wander around and think “this is really interesting, I wish that I had more time, and wasn’t towing a fucking suitcase around with me”.
