  • I managed to get it 30 days after my first infection but I've not heard of anybody being reinfected much shorter than that.

  • Positive for the first time, sister came down with it on Christmas Eve.

    Was inevitable after that. Had symptoms yesterday but only just got a faint line today.

  • After my initial illness of two weeks at the start of November I was back on track and back on the bike, first at low intensities and then even managed some more. Then, two weeks ago I started getting really shitty HR stuff happening. Weird pain in my ribs for a few days and every little effort shot the HR up to way above threshold.
    Now back at doing 60-90min zone2 rides to try and regain some sort of riding condition. Gonna do this for a good 4 weeks or so me thinks.
    I do not want to catch it again!!!

  • I'm feeling heartbroken at the moment. I was the fittest I'd ever been in Feb this year. First dose of COVID took me from running 15mi easily down to barely managing 3 miles. Clawed it back despite a second mild infection. Managed my first 15miler since Feb only three weeks ago. Finally felt like I had recovered. Here I am with it for the third time, just as sick as my first dose.

  • Almost identical here. I feel your pain.

    Got my first dose Christmas last year and have had it twice more plus a series of other passing illnesses and have never got back to fitness. I was never ill before, now it seems like once a month I get something that lasts a couple of days and sets me back again. I can never seem to get enough energy into me to do anything much.

    There’s now a nagging doubt that I’ll ever be fully better again which gets me down oh and the fact I’ve gone from 66kg to 75kg.

    At least this time round I know its possible to get back to full fitness. I've done it before and I'll do it again. Or at least I'll try as hard. Who knows, maybe this infection won't have the same long term effects anyway.

    Small steps as part of a proper routine gets you there or close as you can be...you'll get there.

    It has been 18+ months since I had a vaccine dose. I wish I was eligible for another one.

  • I'm still testing positive, albeit with a fainter line. You'd be hard pushed to tell there was anything wrong with me. The dizzies and the fever I had the other night were seemingly a one time thing. mini_com is still very snotty and irritable. None of us are getting good sleep as a result. Although she has more energy (good/bad thing with a sick 3 yo). Her appetite is kind of coming back but not great. She hasn't pooed in about 5 days though, which is a concern.

    Goes without saying I'm definitely not going to NI today. Which sucks. Have pushed the flights back to mid-Jan.

  • My graph is behaving again. Running some errands today has left me goosed though.

    Similar to Hefty & Stonehedge I'd just found my fitness was returning after last dose and it's back to square 1 which is frustrating. Race fit for all in 2024 then yeah?

  • That's shit man. Recover and then things will look different, surely. Mate of mine went through a good 5 months stretch of fatigue etc, but he's come good now.

  • First positive test on Xmas day, symptoms likely started Xmas eve if I think about it. This was today, if you squint there's still kind of a shadow.

  • 2nd day of being positive and the line is much more solid but I feel better than yesterday, hoping the trend continues

  • What’s this graph off please? I have a slight sense some of my fatigue is psychosomatic. A graph would help.

  • Thanks. I think I have a Forerunner 235 so too old too.

    Praps I’ll treat myself to an upgrade. I like the idea of a simple measure.

  • As a not at all qualified person I think that can still be psychological, or at least partly.

    I like the idea of seeing positive progress as irrefutable numbers. I reckon if I can see an upward trend I’ll start to see light at the end of the tunnel.

    Fuck knows what I’ll do if the trend is down but let’s not think about that.

  • Yeh three weeks today I started feeling off, fairly fed up with now although general trend is upwards, mainly rough cough, tiredness and poor focus left

    This, even though my graph looks ok now I am fucked after a short errand. Need another 10 days or so to recover proper I reckon.

  • My RHR averaged 48 in the week. Before I got COVID. It has averaged 60 over the last 7 days and I've basically been sat on my arse coughing

  • Mine didn't go so high, but you can see the drop Monday where I also began to feel better.

    Annoyingly(?) garmin connect shows this on the same scale as max hr and would benefit from being able to toggle them on/off to better see the rhr trend.

    Hope you're on your feet again soon.

  • Still testing positive 10 days after first one, and 12 days since first had symptoms. Apart from slight sore throat and slight occasional fatigue have been pretty much feeling normal. Have had enforced time off the bike which is probably for the best, but wondering how I'll feel after getting some proper miles in.
