After faffing about with soldering / fixing a kids electric toy I feel the time has come to get one of those electrics third hand things.
I don't want to spend lots on it, but equally I don't want to get one and then after think I wish it had a magnifying glass or an extra hand.
Can anyone recommend what is a useful size / number of features for a very occasional tinkerer?

I might have a basic one going spare. If I can find it over the weekend, I'm happy to throw it in the post just to get you going. Have a feeling I have doubled up on a bunch of stuff.
