Is there another distinctive flavour that overpowers the sweetness for you? No two people's taste buds are the same and some people are much more sensitive to particular substances than others. Like coriander, where some people can only taste soap.

It's been a long time since I've eaten it so it's hard to conjure up the flavour in my head but it's a kind of old grass cutting sort of musty vibe.
Yeah I've heard about the coriander thing, for years I only heard it said by people who called it cilantro and for years and I always idly wondered what this weird mexican herb was. I was mindblown when I found out they were talking about coriander

Conversely i reall dislike sweetcorn in any form and still think I'm being trolled by the whole world when everyone says it's sweet
