• I’ve been left this watch. It was my uncle’s until he died in 2009, since when my aunt has been wearing it. She passed away in September and now it’s mine, so it has sentimental value.

    It’s currently with the solicitors but is apparently working. The crystal is badly scratched and needs replacing and it could do with a service. Any suggestions?

    Crystal looks like it could possibly be buffed clean with minimal effort (IANAE, and my experience with damaged crystals are on cheap watches that have come clean(er) with toothpaste and a cloth)
