  • So me and @jamiekirkham are starting a bike shop...

SBC Cycles... (Skull Bike Club est. 2007)

We met at Tokyo Fixed in 2010 and decided we should start our own shop... It took us a few years, but all good things come to those who wait right!?

Our main focus is to create a reputable independent workshop for servicing, repairs and custom built bicycles and wheels. We'll be stocking a variety of parts for builds, along with upgrades across all cycling disciplines.

We are 2 mechanics with an unfaultering love for all things bicycle...

We want to hear from you guys what you want from a bike shop and where you see the cycling culture in London progressing. If you want us to stock something... Let us know what and why...

Our workshop is set up for fixing absolutely any mechanical issue you may have, regardless of what type of bike you own...

Our ethos is based around adventures on bicycles... Whatever shape or form...

We're having an opening party on Sunday 26th July with bands and free beer. (See flyer)

We hope in the future to organise regular social rides/events to give you all stories to tell and scars to show...

It'd be great if you'd join us on the journey...

    41 Cropley Street
    London
    N1 7HT

    Cheers

    Jamie and Mark

  • Good luck with your new venture!

  • A bump for these guys. A lovely shop in N1 with some really nice gear. Worth the trip even if it's slightly out of your way (as was the case for me).

  • Cheers mate glad you liked it. We're working hard to make the shop more interesting and get more hard to find stock. @bikes_knob

  • SBC is literally the best shop in town. Can get hold of anything! They even set up an account with a new distributor just to get me the rack bag I wanted. They also built me some really lovely DT Swiss wheels and hooked me up with loads of Surly shit, cause, y'know, Surly is the best.

Support your local! Mark and Jamie are a killer team.

  • Just had a few bits sorted on a new bike at SBC - quick turn around, really fair prices & above all seem like good lads! Thanks chaps.

  • These guys recently built me up some track wheels. Great guys & great shop! 👍

  • Just wanted to give these boys some love...great shop, friendly and knowledgeable staff and stock that's different from the usual. Definitely worth heading off the well beaten path for

  • Didn't realise SBC had a thread on here. These guys were really helpful when I wanted to buy a bike on here but couldn't meet the forumenger in person. Props!

  • Agree. Awesome guys. Friendly and helpful. They built up my bike for me. Just little things like getting the gears dialled in just right, and precise bar wrapping (using plain electrical tape, rather than logo'd strip) make a big difference.

  • Yep good guys - few jobs they've done for me on different bikes have been flawless

  • Just picked these up today so sick, specs on their instagram here… thanks so much guys

  • I also didn't see the thread on here... Thanks guys for building up my Son 28 135mm to Stans arch mk3 front wheel for my English in quick time a couple of weeks ago! :)
I'll bring the Chris King SS rear in at some point to get the rim swapped to a matching arch mk3.

  • ...and once again...thanks for the quick work on swapping my King single speed hub to the new arch mk3 rim....great job guys!

  • Built me up an SP / Kinlin XR22 dynamo wheel in like 3 hours today. Best bike shop in London IMO

  • They fixed my terrible front brake setup in a pinch when I was on tour couple years ago. 10/10.

  • had 100% great service from these guys over the last couple of years. can't fault them.
