I'm going to let Mick have a look first, otherwise I'm going to have to keep track of what's still available.

Ok

dm'd the list to you.

Thanks for the heads up! Might be in France but will go if I’m not.

I imagine that would be an awesome experience

Unfortunately it’s a few days after the due date of my second kid, so as much as I will probably need that kind of serenity (providing I don’t immediately fall asleep), my absence at home won’t be appreciated. Maybe they’ll let me bring the baby…

Congratulations on the pending new arrival!!

This is my discogs shop, can do a deal for anyone on here.
@eskay - SteadyCam has a K Alexi EP that might be of interest to you. Also I saw an original of Jamie Principle's Your Love earlier on, somewhere.

Thanks for thinking of me, but I have over cooked my purchases already this month. Bandcamp Friday was a bit heavy and I am potentially grabbing a few from @EagleEyez as well!!

Thanks! Looking forward to more first plays. Our five year old is a big fan of Aja, so hopefully that runs in the family

I have wanted a copy of Hidden Orchestra's Archipelago for ages (missed it first time around). They put a single copy bundle up on Bandcamp Friday and incredibly I managed to get it, Vinyl, 2x CDs and USB + some postcards etc. Just giving it a spin now, sounds great!

Looks like something straight out of Santa's bag.
(they could have signed it for you at least!) -

Anyone had a record with a dull patch like the bit circled in the image above? Can anything be done to improve it (some kind of buffing or something)? There is an audible difference when the needle crosses it.
I kept it because the seller was really good and heavily refunded the costs (and I couldn't be bothered to return it) but would love to try to reduce the hiss for the first 20 secs or so on the track.

Is it also warped? Was it in a pvc inner sleeve? Looks like it’s most probably been crushed/compressed in that area? Probably not much you can do if so. Have you used a basic spray/cloth cleaner on it to see if that makes any difference?
-
• #1792
No, not warped and was in a cardboard sleeve. I'll give it a go with a cloth and some vinyl cleaner and see how it goes.
It almost looks like something has been spilt on it at some point -
• #1793
Probably just needs cleaning. I recommend

I see a fair few of these. Mostly a combination of no fill or just poorly mixed/heated vinyl puck that has a different texture to the properly mixed and pressed vinyl.
No fill is one of the worst problems with a pressing. There is nothing you can do about it. After many years of looking at new records under a bright light and cleaning them I've come to realise that there aren't too many that are perfect.
There is another type of problem that you often see at the edges and that's contamination. Usually adhesive from the inner sleeve because there's a type of pressing machine that drops the vinyl into a freshly folded inner sleeve and if the glue dispenser on the sleeve folding machine is not properly calibrated some of that glue gets on the record. In some cases it's impossible to clean off.
Of course clean it but sadly I don't think you'll see an reduction in noise.
I've had to reduce my expectations of new pressings otherwise I couldn't keep spending money on them. It's a really small percentage that don't have some issue.

Thanks for the comments. I gave it a clean but it didn't improve it, looking closer there is some slight surface deformation.
It is not the end of the world, it is only audible for a short time at the start of a ten minute track. Just a shame it wasn't the B side, I bought it for the A!! Still, got it for a knocked down price and can live with it.

I've got a few dozen 90s Hip Hop LP's i'm thinking of letting go and know there's a some in there potentially worth a bit (according to discogs). Don't think there's many with scratches but the majority of them have fairly battered sleeves. Reading the guide below i'd estimate they would condition somewhere between G+ and some VG however i have never classified vinyl condition and would worry someone might disagree with my assessment. What's the general consensus for a good seller, er on the side of caution and drop the rating a category?
Any interest in me putting up a list? Would be up for doing forum deals.

From memory most of these were bought around the time of their release so OG but well used and showing signs of wear. Outkast and Pete Rock were picked up of Hobo recently so you'll know they're in good condition! I haven't done a proper assessment yet but happy to give anything of interest a closer look.

Thanks, I've actually got most of them!! I somehow never bought illmatic or 36 chambers on vinyl, so wouldn't mind those two. Pm me a price
If anyone has anything on S12 (Simply Vinyl) for sale let me know. Found their releases to be quite good.
