Looks like a Cannondale from 2016

Due a series of unlikely events I am in a position to buy a new bike for the first time in 8 years or so and there's fuck all out there even being previewed.

buy an allez

I have one already! But rim brake.

I think brands are still waiting for the '22 models... For example, the waiting time for a Trek Slash was more than a year when I asked in the beginning of this year.

Threaded BB too!

I really like the look of this

Good luck swinging a sloping 44cm frame onto your shoulder in a hurry.
Those Hope Ridleys have been around a few years, Mein's national champs one is cool.

How are Spesh UK surviving when every frame in every size and colour is out of stock and no 2023 models on the horizon. No wonder they sacked all the influencers, they have nothing to sell.

This year's model...same as last year's. Just sayn...

Emonda ALR is available
So is Crockett which is basically road bike with clearance and mudguard mounts
-
• #66
a sloping 44cm frame
Think I have a framebag that would fit in

Some 2023 Giants are arriving with 105 Di2, but why have they skimped on $30 or something for the non-series chainset? Sparkly too.

I looked at Allez frame sets and epic evo full bikes today and you could get both in any size as long as you aren’t fussy on colour through their concept stores, but not so much at other dealers

Don't understand the interest Allez at all at current the price point. £1,800 (on their site) to get the pleasure of looking at such hideous welds and thats just for the frameset. Perhaps they are going for cheaper at shops?? Would be surprising though.
Regardless, after all of that you have an aluminum crit bike of which there are plenty to be found used without the new tax.

Nice paint on some! But agreed, expensive for alloy frame
-
• #71
stop flirting and buy an Aethos
-
• #72
That thing is cheaper than a Ribble right now, I don't have Aethos monies.
-
• #73
Are there really many alloy race bikes? Proper geometry and no mudguard eyes. Agree that 1800 is big money but they are very good.

• #74
spacers where out of budget

There isn't much to choose anyways
