  • Clarkson seems to have misread the room again.

Gonna suggest Clarkson knows exactly which room he's playing to, here.

  • wat

How the hell can any complaints body fucking if it is not independent at all. Oh perhaps that's the point... :)

  • I was also confused:

No, but you're the one who said they didn't understand the the ruling,
    not them. ;)

    =

No, but you're the one who said [you] didn't understand the the
    ruling, not [those politicians]. ;)

  • @hurricane_run ‘establishment angst at dirty digger always amusing’?
i have spent too long trying to work out what this is supposed to be suggesting. can I risk exposing my stupidity and guess you mean Pullman is establishment and you interpret his comments as angsty/anxious about either what Clarkson write or that Murdoch published it, or both, and you find that funny? I think I am on the side of the ‘establishment’ here if that is the case, although that feels weird because i didn’t realise either i or pullman had establishment views, which is why I am confused!

  • The thing about Clarkson is it's almost all an act. Which means he's still a cunt, just a devious and effective at monetising outrage cunt.

  • Accurate I reckon

  • Gotcha... Our boys.. will the last person to leave the UK switch off the lights..

Reverse ferrets.. phone hacking.. the existence of the Sunday Times 'Style' section.. Richard Keys... Zoe from Essex.. Dear Deidre.. Trevor Kavanagh..

    And Kay Burley

  • Actually you couldn't make it up (even if you were a genre scribbler with pretensions)..

  • The Sun took the whole article down which is pretty unprecedented

  • Someone must be in legal peril

  • Eldest works part-time for the Sun (sua culpa) and it's been quite crazy for the last couple of days. Huge numbers of complaints (as per ^), lots of legal meetings, Clarkson refusing to apologise properly. Interesting work experience, I guess.

  • No apology can offset the act itself.
That was an insanely evil thing to say. The publisher is just as guilty as Clarkson.
This is the sort of hatemongering that gets people killed in the USA. There are people shooting up power substations so drag shows can’t proceed, people shooting up gay bars, etc.
I hope no fucking lunatic acts on Clarkson’s rant and does commit violence - after all Markle is in place full of gun crazed idiots.

  • Steve Barclay insisting union members must provide the cover they already said they would, what a tough guy.

  • Walking past the nurses at London Bridge last night was hard.
    Claps don’t pay the bills.

  • Front cover of the Mail today is pure gammon nurse-hate. Not that many moons ago those same (overworked, understaffed, underpaid) nurses were "OUR NHS HEROES".

  • https://www.thepaperboy.com/uk/ is a convenient way to see some front pages:

  • The cognitive dissonance of many Daily Mail readers is incredible though. One particular relative - who vehemently clapped for these nurses, and has had extensive NHS care over the last two years, with not a bad word to say about his treatment - is frothing at the mouth at their "greed" for wanting a payrise, "terrible mismanagement" of NHS facilities, and "bloody unions", so much so that he's bought himself private healthcare, whilst fully aware that in doing so further increases the chances of the NHS being destroyed further.

My favourite quote from him once was "I know the Daily Mail is awful, but I like reading it" He really didn't like me comparing that to a drug addiction.

  • Jesus Christ, the mail never fails to surprise me. What utter vile nonsense

Edit: I cannot see the actual text, but I assume they are referring to the ambulance staff and not the government.....

  • I get a 403 error from that.
Edit: fine in desktop view just not mobile

  • It's interesting how it's all the unions/members fault and not much (any) recognition that it takes two parties to negotiate and come to a compromise/solution.

  • I bet every frothy mouth gammon would take full advantage of an advantageous collectively bargained pay deal via a well resourced negotiating team to ensure their jobs are secure and well paid.

The militant unions Vs hard working public narrative is BS. these workers are the fucking public you dumb bastards.

Edit: you as the collective gammons, not you arducius

  • Fun fact:
The word ‘Gammon’ is considered hate speech on both the Mail and Express comments pages and gets you banned.
So you can be as racist, transphobic and generally awful as you want but those sweaty snowflakes get all triggered when you turn it back on them for a change.
    Cunts.

  • Perhaps start referring to lumps of bacon

  • "You seem to have a throbbing lardon for keeping people out of the country."
