  • Who needs to tell the time with a wristwatch anyway? I bet I would stare at it for hours!

  • So different! Even though they're within half a millimetre of each other. The AnOrdain is way more casual / dressed down, but also more versatile because of that. Very different characters.

The Model 1 doesn't really have any shiny/bling factor - even though the case is fully polished, it's flat sided and there's not much bezel. Also the polishing just hits different, it has nowhere near the mirror finish of the GS. No applied markers either, and the hands are just flat stamped items, etc. It's a lot more under the radar. If you get one of the bright dial colours I'm sure it would attract a bit of attention but not in the same way.

  • Have been looking at another CW as they show great value for money, their bracelets are spot on with feel and work so well better than more expensive brands.

But can’t seem to feel love for much else, open to more ideas, I like Tudors but prefer the non snow flake hands I think.

Also really need to sell my Nereide Tungsten bezel watch

Then get a 2nd hand bike too, from here is a little tricky trying to find my size, with long legs but need the top tube to be 575 ish

  • I agree! CW bracelets are too good for the price.

  • truly stunning watch. congrats

  • @bur70n_ how about a SBGX261 (or other) with that sh*t bracelet (comparing to CW anyway 😂)?

  • Thank you. 🙏 And to everyone else.

  • I'm after a nice rubber strap for my new watch on the way. Anyone got an Everest strap? Are they worth the premium over a similar looking FKM strap costing less than half. Any other recommendations? Black 20mm flat lugs

  • Looked that the Spirit Zulu Time but seems a lot when compared to others and then not as good as the more expensive ones a hard one they are.

  • Haha true, more I think about the more I go towards the CW, their cases are very good it’s just getting the right one also get a COSC variant would be good

  • AnOrdain looks bigger due to the bigger dial. It’s also quite a bit longer lug to lug.

  • Not the best lighting or the best camera, but here you go (next to the mechanical SBGW267).

  • The other one to look at is the Oris Big Crown Pointer

  • That dial is eye catching

    Nice one of dude!

  • Mesmerising... Honestly, and I know this is nuts, but I want that spring drive movement, in that case but fully brushed and basic diver style face. And actual 200m dive rated. The dimensions look spot on.

  • I don't know how they stack up against premium straps but the Christopher Ward one I have is noticeably better quality then the cheap rubber straps I've got over the years.

  • This is a cool watch. 50m WR with a screw down crown - never understood that really.

    What about a Doxa Sub300? It’s funky…

  • I think I "need" a dress watch, but in chainbreaker appropriate sizing (~40mm but thinner than a dive watch)

    Where should I be looking?
    Sub £1000 (very sub ideally)

  • Good shout.
I remember seeing a salmon one a while back, will investigate

  • Stuck this on today.. had it 17 years now..

  • I've an old Oris of my dad's that doesn't even work. It's probably my second most worn watch
