I've had some variety of GK on 3 different bikes, have only had 1 puncture ever. I do seem to be the exception to the rule though!

I think you’ll find on here that gravelkings went through a brief golden period because they were/are slightly cheaper than the competition. People also quickly discovered that they’re made of cheese and can’t do tubeless for shit.

Friends don't let friends ride Gravelkings.

Never had a problem with em myself, though I am a bit of a Panaracer fanboy.

I feel like one too, lol, as I really liked the design when I first saw them on a bike. Maybe I'll get some Marathons, depends if I get any more flats this year or not.
Kinda debating whether 32c was a good choice or not, might go with 28 next time..

What sort of riding is this for? You are comparing really different tyres.
-
• #9508
City riding through London - mainly commuting to work every day.

Get conti contact urban

Are they alright for these temps and the occasional snow?
-
• #9511
Snow is a shit show. Wet snow, slush, powdery snow, compacted snow; they're all different to ride on and there's no single answer (except the last, that's only really doable with studded tyres).
-
• #9512
If it's mostly for riding through London I would probably not consider snow conditions in the equation given how uncommon they are and how specific the tyre choice would be. Although a file thread would probably be fine for powdery snow and roll nice year round.
I commute on conti 4 seasons and never had an issue. Looking at replacing them with Marathon Almotion Evo when they are done

I pop in here occasionally to scream Pirelli Cinturato Velo and then leave again.

I've just moved to Mallorca and the roads are SLICK AF in the shade, best grip in the wet over anything else/32mm w/tubes? Pirelli Cinturato, Conti 5000 and some kind of Vittoria? Had some very dicey moments today on 33mm Jack Brown Blues made by cough cough panaracer
-
• #9516
Vittoria corsa IMO
-
• #9517
The Mallorca roads aren’t slick AF dude, you’re just using cheap AF tyres that only Planet X sells ;)
-
• #9518
I had some of these tyres once. They are in the spesh armadillo/gatorskin group of having next to no grip in the wet. Anything will be better.
-
• #9519
I agree they’re shit tyres hence replacing them. But Mallorca is also very slippy everywhere in the wet, the stones are very polished. Pavements even more so

• #9520
Always found Schwalbe One (tubed) really good in the wet. Didn't ride them in Mallorca and also got a few punctures but cornering felt great.

I've just moved to Mallorca

nice man :--) lovely part of the world. if you are looking for some nice riding buddies, the pas normal studios store rides are good and very welcoming
-
• #9524
They were £44 in 35c at Sigma recently. Still a lot for a tyre but I've done ~1000km of crap weather riding on my 32's and they've been great

2 punctures (one sealed perfectly tubeless and the other with a tube) in almost 6000 miles.
Had some gravel king AC’s and they were made out of wet paper. Took them off after 3 rides with a disaster in each tyre, just couldn’t trust them
