  • I’m thinking this winter might be the one I finally give indoor training a try. I don’t have the space to leave it setup (small flat + kids) so I’ll be putting my bike on it every time. Without having any experience of it, it feels like a wheel off/direct trainer will be less setup faff (2 steps - wheel off, bike onto trainer) than a wheel on one (3 steps - wheel off, turbo wheel/tyre on, bike onto trainer). Anyone got experience of this to share? (Or a second hand trainer to sell me?!)

    @Netakure that’s what I’m thinking, unless it’s fairly straightforward I’ll never do it.

    @spinnnout yep the noise is definitely a consideration, another plus for direct drive! I’d not thought about the fold-ability, that’s a good point, thanks.

    I’ll continue keeping an eye out in classifieds.
