Well, turns out it was a thing for people posting covid misinformation and stop the steal election lies...

I think it was a lot broader than that but my issue isn't with it, it makes sense you reduce amplification for people posting misinformation, the bigger issue is Twitter exec's continuously said it isn't a policy and doesn't happen. All that lack of transparency does is fuel the nut jobs and conspiracy theorists.

Except Twitter gave a clear definition of what they meant by shadow banning when they said they didn’t shadow ban, and nothing in these “revelations” contradicts that

I guess it's semantics but I think most people consider not being able to see the content of people you don't follow as shadow banning along with making people undiscoverable in search

I mean they literally defined their terms, and Bari Weiss claims to be a journalist so ‘most people’ doesn’t apply to her as she should be capable of reading properly and framing her “story” appropriately. I mean, I know she’s not a journalist and is currently just running a weird propaganda scheme for the world’s richest cunt so lol what do I expect, I don’t know.

In the last hour or so Elon logged into a Twitter Space full of journalists discussing the Elonjet account ban. He was questioned by the host briefly, lied about stuff, left the Space, had the Space shutdown along with all other Spaces and had all trace that the Space ever existed deleted from Twitter servers.

Of course everybody turned on screen recording as soon as he logged in so another fail for the manbaby.

He's also banned a load of journalists who posted any links to Elonjet alt accounts on any platform. Rage-quitting from a service you own is 3D chess.

I don’t have an account so can’t see the current score, but presumably he’ll just cheat.

He also banned the Mastodon twitter account and some accounts of people who just had links to Mastodon in their profiles. Links to Mastordon now "considered malware" and can't be added to profiles or included in tweets.

Always amusing how quickly free speech maxi's get upset when confronted with the extents of free speech and then it becomes not that kind of free speech but the one with limits they support

Pretty much everyone is like that with everything.
