What are people's experiences with the new MacBook Air?
I mainly use my current 2017 air (8gb ram, 128gb ssd) for movies, office and a bit of coding / data visualisation (Matlab, python).
It's getting a bit slow at times and wondering if the baseline m2 will be enough, or worth springing for 16gb ram?
Think I might buy a synology NAS so not too bothered by built in storage, or am a missing something?
i have read that you need the 512GB hard drive to see the speed gains.
256GB has a single strip of storage where the 512GB has 2x 256GN strips which it can access in parallel ...
just got mine (in the midnight colour) last week and its real nice.
