Just came across this thread - some good inspo here!
Tiny hallway and rented house meant having to find a way to store mine and my partner's bikes outside, without anything too structurally permanent. This is the very budget solution I came up with a year or so ago, using 4x lengths of PVC piping, right angle connectors and wall clips to cinch a tarp in place. It's held up pretty well, just needs tightening up/adjusting every now and then:
Given that none of our bikes are particularly flashy and our back garden is pretty secure, I'm pretty pleased with the bodge! But we've signed on for another year at this place and I'm thinking it's time for something a bit more weather proof. The tarp is ripping in places and the weight of the snow caused it to collapse recently, which was a faff to sort out. Thoughts on something more sturdy, but not so permanent that it'll cause an issue when we eventually move out?
