Had some gravel king AC’s and they were made out of wet paper. Took them off after 3 rides with a disaster in each tyre, just couldn’t trust them

I've had some variety of GK on 3 different bikes, have only had 1 puncture ever. I do seem to be the exception to the rule though!

I think you’ll find on here that gravelkings went through a brief golden period because they were/are slightly cheaper than the competition. People also quickly discovered that they’re made of cheese and can’t do tubeless for shit.

What sort of riding is this for? You are comparing really different tyres.

Are Panaracer Gravelking SKs bad or is it just my luck? Had them on my bike for 2 months and just this week I've had my first and second punctures. Should I dump them? Second flat was more like a crack in the tire, suspecting it might've slipped on some sharper ice - is that possible?
What would alternatives be - Marathons, Gatorskins?
