I had recent laptop death and home internet woes, so here's a catch up some interesting classics I've seen around London's famous London over the last month.....
Bianchina convertible, parkable nearly anywhere.
Ferrari 330 GT V12, in its less pretty 4 eyed guise, kinda like the fat ass tho. And I only heard it in 1st and 2nd but the 4 litre V12 sounded amazing.
Don't see many Hillman's these days, here's a Super Snipe
An amazingly good condition Alfasud Ti Cloverleaf
One of the sexyiest rear ends on any car ever IMO, those windows really do it for me, currently 54 years old and still looks futuristic
A BMW 2002 Turbo
And all these years I thought Vanden Plas was just the deluxe interior versions of old Rovers and Austin's, I had no idea they actually made cars themselves. Here's a 4 litre Vanden Plas Princess from 1967.
And finally a little corner of France near Waterloo, there's a BX parked further up too, I had an overwhelming feeling of 'this street really needs a 2CV'.

I used to cut down that road with the Citroens when I worked nearby. Always a great sight to see

Yes guaranteed to make you smile :)
I'd never heard of garage queens as advertised on the back of the BMW I posted above, a quick gander at the upcoming auctions and they have this which you'll appreciate maybe. I'd never heard of it before but it looks amazing, much want, tho I think I'd change the wheels. A Chevy Bel Air station wagon.

That ferrari is pure class. Would still choose the SM over it though.

Discovered the temp at which you need glow plugs to work in a direct injection diesel. They haven't worked in maybe 5 years?
Its-8c!Down to - 5c she'll start but has to crank for maybe 2 seconds. Normally starts on first part of the starter turning above zero
Still having 10w40 dino blend instead of 0w30 fully synthetic prob makes a difference too, like treacle.

I gave the back window penis jizzing onto my roof a D- "scale not great, must try harder" but some spoil sport cleaned it up

I think someone who lives there just owns them, one or other has been there since 2005 when I first lived near. Also in Southwark you don’t need to display a resident permits, maybe the same in Lambeth? Although how you get 3 residents permits I don’t know

Can someone tell me why a Polestar 2 is a bad choice of car?
-
• #73398
Although how you get 3 residents permits I don’t know

Not sure what they're like now but they had loads of reliability and software issues at launch. I had a £1k deposit on one but went for a Model 3 in the end because of the issues.
They're also super dark inside imo but they look awesome on the outside.

What is the tax status on electric cars? From memory, they were tax-free as a benefit in kind historically, but something changed in the autumn statement. I have tried googling, but I am a muppet about car stuff.
Wonder what the v6 on stage 1 would be like? The car I really want is an RS6 but probably will never happen, I'm keeping my eyes out for an early 2000's S4 wagon, they just look so good.
If you look at Audi service menus, anything bigger than a 2L just costs more or has a "please call us".
Ultimately inspect the car you buy, I purchased my A4 from Inverness but had someone local to check it out. If I was buying again I'd go with an obd2 scanner, they can tell you a lot, especially with Audis.
