He's a great leader.

You'd think after two years of lockdowns people would have learned you have to account for the delay during a back-and-forth over a video call, you can't just fill in the silence whenever there's a gap. I wonder if the anchor was doing this deliberately.

Richard Madley really is a sack of crap.

Richard Madley
Piers Morgan's understudy

He always has been though... nothing new to see

Mick Lynch on Radio 4 this morning,
Mishal Husain not her finest moment. What I do find annoying though Mishal is that you put these lines that are directly taken from the propaganda from the other side. You never show any admiration for the fight that working people are putting up. You never criticise the super rich for what they’re doing…You never seem to take an impartial view on society…You always seem to just punt out whatever you hear from the employers and the government

• #79638
Got sent that earlier, and altho I ❤️ ML as much as the next tofu eating wokerati, I don't really get it.
Madley's basically right tho isn't he about the Xmas business period.
-
• #79639
Madley could of let Mick answer and then asked a follow up on is it reasonable to dismiss Christmas hasn't started yet when it has for retailers but instead has a paddy of his own making and show's he clearly has no interest in the issue and is just their to score points
he's an absolute weapon
-
• #79640
he's an absolute weapon
Well yes.
But ML's move was to belittle the question and distract from the period of time before moving to his point. He's a really good debater, he knows what he is doing.

I thought his interview on the radio 5 breakfast show this morning was better

Zoe approves.. the comments below the line are truly frothing..
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2022/dec/13/mick-lynch-bbc-anti-strike-agenda-daily-mail#comment-160328205The Times ran a reds under the bed piece recently on the RMT. The rail strike really is the gift that keeps giving for meedja click bait.
-
• #79644
I’m not sure it is - aren’t the strikes in response to changes that have been made by network rail & et cetera. which have a time limit and would be deemed to have been accepted if the unions don’t strike? I think I heard ML suggesting that the other day anyway.
-
• #79645
that was liquid interviewing

• #79646
I'm not sure if Lynch is as devious as Crow was. I wonder if Crow would have had the deal done by now with less invective and more menace. McGahey compared with Scargill.
-
• #79647
Yep :(

Just listening to the news about the boat in the channel. Thinking of how cold that water will be is terrifying.
-
• #79649
The water probably isn't as cold as you think it might be, and certainly less cold than the air temperature outside of the sea at this time of year. Most likely a few degrees into double figures. However, for someone not acclimatised to cold water, it would still be fatal pretty swiftly, bearing in mind that there's a great likelihood that they were non-swimmers, and that it was the middle of the night, and there would have been a massive wave of panic. It would have been horrible.
-
• #79650
Yeah all of this. Fucking horrible. The desperation to risk that is heartbreaking.
Man of the Year surely ✊
