I got my accreditation about a year ago but haven't ridden since, any idea what the score is on renewing it?
I don't believe it's a thing that needs to be renewed..

Whilst it doesn't need renewing as such those who've been off the track for a long time might not be allowed straight back on without a refresher of sorts AFAIK. The man I could confirm that with is on his holidays at the mo, so best you ring up directly.

Yes to Schwalbe No to Michelin.
Is this really enforced?

Does it need to be when you're sat on your arse at the bottom of the track having slipped off?

I'm on for a session with the Wheelers on the 14th so will speak to someone directly then. Has anyone used the MyLaps transponders? Thinking it'd be nice to get some data out of the session.

+1 to what RPM said.
The Michelin compound doesn't grip the boards very well at all. Not advisable to test this out.

This theoretical group ride, would it be in order to gain accreditation, or would you need accreditation first? I'm assuming that's what the blue slip is.
-

^^ no intention of testing this out, just curious. I wander what in particular causes it?

Accreditation is a four step process, this would be the first step. Interest low so unlikely to happen in this format tbh.

Michelin use a rubber compound that doesn't stick to the wood. Their tyres might be better elsewhere due to the compound, but not on the track.

Me and some mates rode in the Velocity 24 hour charity ride for Manchester City a few weeks ago and used the transponders - and what a pile of shite it was.... it took them till yesterday to get the data together because of "technical problems" and then the data isn't right. In an hour, it had me down as doing the same number of laps as someone else who took a tea break for 15 minutes!
Upshot is - great idea, not sure if they are as reliable as they should be but would use them again - always good to see how quick you're going

Anyone know how this Better booking app is supposed to work?
I'd like to book onto a session next week but they're all restricted bar one which has a waiting list. What does restricted mean?
I can't book on to anything and I don't think the bookings can all be 'full'.
No one seems to be answering the phone at Better over the weekend.
