Excellent sledge! Stainless plus soft wood already quite a fun combo, and the skis look like they are a considered choice. Transparent grip tape please!

Just looked through the reel on Instagram and it's soo good, maybe a lower center of gravity for V2 and you need a bigger hill!

Promised my wife to start slow. We got bigger hills.
Yes to lower center of grav

Any chance to cover those metal 4 ends? I am overthinking about eyes & safety (sorry working with eyes :P) and it might be dangerous (?).

They are covered. No way they can hurt anyone - skis are more of an issue. But I am not concerned

your little girl is growing up thinking anything is possible with a bit of hard work and imagination

Is it not? ☺️

I know it is just the magic of perspective but the stem looks wonky. I keep thinking I am looking at it as I would on the bike, rather than from the side.

Video from a couple of days ago. We are both enjoying riding in the snow.
It is fun to see someone who has never slipped on ice before ride her bike. She has no clue that she might take a spill any minute. Hasn't happened yet tho -

SORRY!
It's nice. My wood identifying skills end at oak and beech, so everything pale with bigger grain is a Christmas tree to me.
So, I didn't have time to actually make the thing foldable, but it has ended up a bit tall anyways, so I might shorten the legs and then find a way to make something bracing that also allows it to fold. I want it to completely flatpack but also sturdy enough to carry a child and a grown up. While keeping it light enough that my daughter can drag it up the hill herself. Currently it is extremely light which is nice. And I felt it would be alright without the bracing in this configuration. But when the seat ends up being fixed with pivots rather than screws it's gonna wobble and the bracing will be necessary.
I didn't have any proper elastic rope. I'll have to buy that but in the meantime I used four grub screws to hold the skis onto the chassis.
Skis need a bit of grip tape on the tops.
It's fast. Maybe it needs a brake. Maybe it doesn't if my daughter can reach the snow.
