• Yesterday in condor, on a whim I picked up the zoa burner (scarf), and against form thought I’d go for orange. Had a try of it when I got home and unfortunately could only see this

I wouldn’t ever wear or buy anything orange for this reason, and I really could have done with it today. It is an absolutely Gucci bit of kit, a really good development on the first burner, so I’ll exchange it for the black instead. Absolutely any colour but orange please

  • When can we expect the release of some Zoa gloves that are miraculously warm but also dexterous?

  • Ha! Thought this this morning. +1

  • I would settle for the hat and mittens combo deal .

  • So... I think I might've finally decided to get either the Zoa Rain shell and/or the Insulated 3.0... only thing now is, no rain shells in Medium through the site... anywhere else other than Condor that sells Albion?

  • There is in orange, or Black w/ orange hood? If it's black you're after, can't promise, but could try to track one down for you.

And thanks for the comment @Bainbridge all credit down to the great team here, plus Pertex and Primaloft getting behind things :)

  • I have Reynauds, so a lot of personal interest here! From previous experience it takes a lot to make good gloves, and everyone has a strong opinion about them, so I'm a little reluctant to grasp that nettle just yet.

  • If you could, that would be great... not in a massive rush tbh... I prefer black over the others.

  • Pinarello store on Regent Street used to stock Albion. Not sure if they still do..

  • i pulled the trigger on Insulated 3.0 over the weekend. Looking forward to wearing that instead of my battered old Montane jacket with a hood

  • I've changed my mind so many times, it's not even funny... the insulated 3.0 would be my first choice but I feel like I need that waterproof element as well... what I might do is buy the insulated and then sell some body parts so I can get the rain shell.

  • Albion stocked in Pinarello, Condor and Sigma in London, but we were unable to restock Zoa Rainshells to them this season because we had such limited amount - I think Condor had some left from previous season. Understand it's v frustrating, I'd want to see, and try-on a high price jacket, see the details, check layering etc, but it's aligned with a slow-growth approach, reducing risk/overstock etc.

If anyone is in SE London, you are always welcome to drop into studio in Deptford, Mon-Fri, to look at kit, just give me a heads up and I can check first on sizes/styles for you. Always nice to meet Forumers (and put a face to a cryptic digital pseudonym).

  • I was going to take a trip to Condor at some point (my old mate Adrian works in there I think) and try on a few bits... I have bought blind in the past and had good results but you're right, I'd rather try the jacket on first before shelling out... I think I might be between sizes as well so that won't help matters... doesn't help that I don't live in London and the run up to Xmas is always busy... first world problems!!!

  • Got home to this today, bloody lovely!

Chucked some money into Shelter and the forum in your honour @Chopsicle, thanks!

  • I finally caved and got a ZOA insulated, it looks lovely, not worn it yet.

I also added an Elan as above to basket, my what a lovely hat. Worn it almost non stop since it arrived!

Can't wait to get out in the zoa when it's not icy.

  • You know that feeling when you leave the house and freeze for 20 mins before warming up . You dont get that with the zoa just comfy and just right .

  • Piling in on the zoa love. Wore it on a brisk ride on sunday to see the frost. Had ice forming on the leading edge of the sleeves but felt pretty cozy.

Also normal people think it looks cool.

  • Does the zoa rain shell hold up ok when wearing a messenger bag?

  • I have a pair of Houdini Dunfri mittens, I layer them with some Grib Grab cycling specific ones on the bike when it gets cold.
I do not wear the mittens all the time on the bike, I just pop them on for a couple mins. Everything warms up and just roll them back up and put them in a jersey pocket.

I think you need to look into that direction as it feels a "Zoa-esque" approach to things. ;)

    • I actually have 2 pairs of the mittens and the shell for wet instances. Use the mittens on a day to day basis, they are fantastic. I have some other Houdini stuff and really rate it all, nice products and company ethos.
  • What's the zoa sizing like... my down jacket isn't remotely water resistant which means it's fine when it's cold and sunny like today but not usable without a layer on top when it snows so a Zoa it is. Take an XL in Castelli and Rapha jackets

  • zoa sizing like

I'm 6ft, 39" chest, 37" waist (December weight) and the Large zoa fits me lovely.

  • Ok... finally ordered... went for the Zoa insulated in blue and some leg warmers... free shipping and the introduction 10% off made me finally pull my finger out!

  • Bit larger chest so gone a bit larger. Lets see, cheers!

  • Just got my zoa, and I'm really impressed with it.
I'm XL in Rapha & Gore; went with XL zoa and it's spot on!

  • @Chopsicle I used to have an Albion waxed tool roll that's seen me through thick and thin over the years.

Bike got nicked a few weeks back with it still on there. Can't see them on the website any more, are you still making them?
