  • I remember having a little electronics kit as a kid that had a load of similar things and a board and crocodile clips to make it all work, was pretty fun. Depending on son's age could you get something similar and make it fun and young kid proof then let him pay around with the workings once he's older and inevitably breaks it.

  • Yeah, something like that, maybe with a few more switches or whatever built into a nice box would be pretty cool.

  • he's only 18months so need to make something robust and super simple

    I'd probably start with 22.5mm industrial product such as Allen-Bradley 800F range, it's tough and available in hose proof versions so when he spills stuff on it you can wash it down.
