  • Russian Roulette time then!

  • Similar, but in spirits roulette it's your arse that explodes, not your head.

  • Made some this year.
    Bottling it today

What do people do with the sloes?
Don't want to chuck them. They're full of polyphenols

    ( @mespilus you may know.
Enjoyed the bottle you gave me a couple of years ago)

  • Damn
Never made any this year, what with so much distraction-fucking about
    Really annoying (for me)
    :(

  • Traditionally they are the brewer's/chef's bonus.
Do you have a suitably sized funnel?
Cone big enough to hold them, tip too small to let any sloes through?
If yes, leave them to drain for a while.
May well give you 2 extra shots.
After a good meal, with an afternoon or evening you can write off, serve them with a good, thick custard.
Remember not to swallow the stones.

  • Thanks Mespilus

Also read tgat adding to Port will give the drink a additional element.

Thinking too to use to flavour a stew dish. There great for enhancing the gut Microbiome considering their cloud and bitterness

  • Yep, sloes substituting for apricots could give a hedgerow version of an English copy of a tagine.
