Only downside is the usual pedigree prone to health issues (skin and diet allergies here)..... Oh, and the cost of getting one from a real breeder
Poodle mixes get you all the benefits without most of the pedigree issues. I've got one crossed with a king charles and one with a schnauzer. Both super-fun, keen runners and players outdoors, hyper-affectionate snugglers indoors with no health issues.
Mind you, got them before canine inflation went through the roof.
