• If he’s a private seller, he’ll want the easiest way of getting the car gone and the cash in his pocket. He doesn’t really need to keep you happy as a customer, like a dealership would, as there’s less likelihood of any recourse down the line. An inspection may help with your peace of mind and aid the sale, but there’s not much benefit for the seller IMO.

    Plenty of Audis in the world, no need to get one from a dealer who isn’t reasonable. If they’re not reasonable about this, they won’t be reasonable about warranty claims or anything else.
