Just to tidy up a loose end.
Back in the Summer my 'good enough' Motorola G5G went for a swim in the River Pinn.
It was submerged for at least 45 minutes. The camera module showed condensation/water.
Took it home, pulled out the sim card tray and left it on the top shelf of a unit
in the conservatory, charging port/speaker port/headphone jack upwards,
to let it slowly dry out.
Last night, I remembered it was still up on the top shelf.
Nothing to lose, popped the usb-C charging cable into the port,
and,
.....
the screen indicated 47% charge.
Fumbled with the buttons to switch it on.
Took a few seconds for it to start the powering up process,
but soon it was telling me it had no Sim card,
and,
that I wasn't logged in various services.
It charged up to (an indicated) 100%, (much quicker than its Pixel 6a replacement).
Popped the (micro?) sim card from the non-functional back up mobile and the Motorola
seems happier. It is also 'reading' the photos on the micro sd card.
Just can't currently find the enhanced-grip case it came with.
