I realise this post is old but I've got a 15" Trek Singletrack that sounds like it might fit the bill.

Managed to swipe this 2006 Explosif on eBay for a steal - search for a 19” sliding drops Kona is over. Gonna build it up as per the Lava Dome with 10 speed Deore and some VO mudguards. Hopefully perfect off road tourer.
I now have three Kona frames up for grabs if anyone interested?
2001 Kona Blast 15”
1999 Kona Lava Dome 19”
2006 Kona Unit 18”

Interested in the Kona Blast for my daughter, can you send some pics?

Slapped this together last night and pedalled to the office this morning - pleasantly similar to the Lava Dome but feels maybe a little lighter and stiffer.
Black VO mudguards are waiting in the wings and will look to replace the drivetrain with new 10 speed Deore in the spring. Worth the 200 mile round trip.

Sorry a bit late here but what did you end up doing? My 170mm NDS shimano MT60 crank has cracked so I'm either looking for a replacement of can send you my un-cracked DS arm.

I bought a completely different crankset. If you want the NDS crank arm (and rings from DS?) you are welcome to them!

Picked this up on Saturday, been looking on and off for one for a few years, needs a lot of work but always liked the history of these frames

Never seen one of those before. Now I want one!

Yes, but only because conditions were as good as dry yesterday. No way this bike leaves the shed when it rains or when conditions are muddy. :-)

Lovely. Great you have the original saddle. Should build mine too.

:) I don't blame you. lovely machine and good to hear the trails are drying up (probably not for long though!)

Love this bike, don’t you have a couple Ritcheys?

Yep the MXZ from 88/89, remember seeing one in my local trails back in the day, always wanted one of these or a Trimble.
Duo Van Homan and some edwins on the Kona - two of my favourite BMXers for completely different reasons.
