Dunno yet.
I'm waiting for the AUK red carpet to be rolled out and like a year's worth of beer to be delivered or something. The missus cleaned up though so she should be eligible for a trophy which is neat.

Pub - London - Pub - Edinburgh - Pub - London - Pub - Paris - Pub - Brest - Pub - Paris - Pub - London - Pub
ftfy
No plans to ride either of those events though. Sardinia 2x600 maybe, Pendle would be nice, and I guess I should finish another SR because there's an award for 10 I think. But no stupid year-long stuff again. It's stressful and a bunch of admin.

I did consider putting all the pubs in but you said a stupid audax thing so I left them out...
This would be my choice Lowestoft Ness Point - Point of Ardnamurchan if I had the legs and the time...

Is there a route for that? I think I'd rather train up to Scotland and just ride around up there on the MTB or something.
-
• #11931
Pendle would be nice
No it won't.
-
• #11932
No, you're free to choose your own route. There is one on YACF that Greenbank told me about a while ago. I think I have the thread link somewhere if you want it?

Clarification: "nice to finish"

Anyone heading up to Darlo for the Pit Ponies 100 tomorrow? Trying to snap myself out of a 9 month riding funk. What better way to do it than an off-season trip to Hartlepool with a 2h train ride either side.

Tape some pound coins to a piece of cardboard, get your FWC brevet card and get it done this season!
Edit: I'm hoping when the results are published my unvalidated 50 points would have gotten me nowhere near the top of the leaderboard.

That's the one!
Have copied the RWGPS route as well thanks. -

No problemo. I like having random routes like this in my accounts in case I find myself with a long weekend going spare.

Pit Ponies was a blast. Route was an improvement on last year even if it did skip Fields Chippy in Esh and the weather was a lot better too. Dean's organisation was top notch, there was a mighty selection of food at the end. Bike is filthy. Picked up a McNasty mug. All in all, a good day out.

Ah nice, I met him on a Highlands 1000k a few years ago, bona fide Audax legend!
For anyone who hasn't heard of George

George lives just south of Dundee. I bumped into him while back on a DIY as he was cycling near his home and said hello. I’d never met him before but we chatted for a bit about audax and he asked me about my route.
A week or so later a few friends went to visit him (he’s getting on now and I think he lives alone). He was still chuckling to himself about “the cyclist from Edinburgh who was riding all the stinky hills on a fixed.”

Not quite, this was the organiser. Last year there was some pro soup transportation, check out the final pic: https://www.instagram.com/p/CXEzCQaMkmw/

Who here has done the Pendle? It's scheduled right before the other two possible 600s I have booked but seems unwise to pin the 600 necessary for my FWC SR on that. I'm guessing it would be great for a two day de-lux right? I saw a video on the internet where a guy did it fixed so it must be doable - right?
edit: he does say he nearly cried after Robin Hood Bay which I take to mean quite a lot of weeping

What kind of fixed gear do you do these audaxes on?

This thing. Frame was put together by a friend in his spare time.

Just looked this up and it looks pretty savage fixed. Who was the person that did it fixed on YouTube?
I’m quite keen to give Dean’s Slaithwaite 600 a go.
At the moment there are no Scottish PBP qualifying 400’s in the calendar so I may have to use another 600 somewhere down south… which means if I qualify for PBP I may as well try and bag a fourth 600 for the Ultra Super Fixie Skidder award or whatever it’s called.
did you win or what?
