  • Just installed some PDW Ponchos - wider ones but I have a set of narrow (wide road tyres) ones yet to be fitted too. They are good - no rattles at all yet! Not as great as the metal PDWs (bit more flex, less elegant rear stays) but they are less than half the price. The narrow ones have a cutout section where they fit under the fork.

  • Just wondering how your getting on with the PDW Poncho’s a month on?
My rear Pdw snapped fully in half yesterday. They’re probably 4yrs old and been on a few bikes as well as squeezed cut and glued to fit in areas probably too small for a 37mm guard to fit so don’t feel too aggrieved.
My initial thought had been to just replace but only really need a rear and as price is now £110 per set that thought changed rather quickly.
Poncho’s might fit the bill nicely?

  • Yeah they're good. Not as lovely or sturdy as the metal ones and the rear stays aren't as neat. Time will tell how tough they are, but I'd recommend for the price.
