If you look at their instruction manual, it shows the wave washer inside the non drive side bb cup behind the bearing.

As tester said already the spindle is captured on the non drive side so I'm not sure it's such a good idea to have the non drive side bearing "floating" inside the cup.
I can't really wrap my head around what they are/were thinking with that design.

GXP locates on the NDS bearing, there is no need for a wave washer or any other way to take up end float. SRAM tech docs say ±0.5mm for the shell width
